Gratitude for the harvest

It’s our first year growing vegetables and fruit – we were lucky to inherit many mature fruit trees and bushes and I grew my very first vegetables from seed.  I had no idea what to expect and to be honest I am overwhelmed by the abundance of bounty we have harvested this year.  Here are some of the wonderful fruits and vegetables the garden has given us this year.


We juiced the grapes, pears, apples, and many of the cucumbers and drank them 🙂  Some fruit and veggies have been prepped and put in the freezer for the winter.  We made Elderflower codial, summer fruits cordial, sloe cordial, and blackcurrent cordial.  Sloe Gin and Plum Jam.  We’ve also eaten many of the veggies as they were harvested.

Very grateful for everything we’ve drunk, eaten and stored away for later consumption.
